RGS Guildford Nanjing
The spring has passed without a trace. As the early summer comes with zest and glare, RGS Guildford Nanjing held its first sports meeting on May 8 since its establishment.
All teachers and students of primary and secondary schools walked out of the classroom, and exposed themselves to the dazzling sunlight together with the whole campus. They rallied strength on the extended white track, cheered under the beautiful arc formed by the basketball when sweeping across the sky. A wall of cheers signals vibrant and exuberant vitality.
At the opening ceremony, the parade performances of all grades were quite ingenious. Everyone brainstormed, put on drama costume, and waved rackets in the scorching sun. Colored balloons formed an array of cheers. The kids displayed their own characteristics and personalities in the group through different performances, and revealed the campus atmosphere of “advocating sports and art” with the most energetic mental attitude.

Crossing the river by touching the stones, running back and forth to catch the ball, little goal-getter, head-on relay, group rope skipping... The kids in the Primary School were so motivated and unwilling to be left behind by their rivals in individual and group competitions. It was really an exciting and interesting game.

When the kids in the Primary School were running wild on the playground, it was very lively on the track from the middle and high schools. 100/200-meter sprints, standing long jump, throwing solid balls... A wall of cheers rose up among students outside the field.
Foreign teachers kept a close eye on the progress of the students’ game and took an enthusiastic part in it. Chinese and foreign teachers discussed with students the skills of sprinting and learned how to throw a solid ball.
All teachers and students ran and sweated on the football field in a high-spirited way to win honors for their own academy, experiencing the joy and enthusiasm of struggle together with everyone. At this moment, teachers and students were all involved. Teaching is not merely restricted to classroom, but also lies in the vast playground, and in the unity and mutual aid of teachers and students. The borderless education is manifested incisively here.
