A spring of fragrance and a March like wind.
At the end of the month when spring is in full swing, we finally got a glimpse of the spring opportunity. With the approval of the city's epidemic prevention and control superiors, the first group of returning students were finally welcomed to Nanjing Golden Future School today.
Prepare in advance and
pay attention to vaccination details
In preparation for the return of students to school, Nanjing Goldfields Future School has continued its closed management, with school leaders working non-stop to organise self-correction initiatives and rigorous screening of every detail.
After receiving instructions from the superiors to resume schooling, the administration and logistics departments organised preparations at the first opportunity to rehearse the door posts for epidemic prevention and emergency response, increase the stockpile of epidemic prevention materials and conduct in-depth decontamination of the temporary quarantine sites at the same time.
Property cleaning carried out an extensive outdoor cleaning in parallel and launched a comprehensive disinfection of the teaching area. The Logistics Department carefully checked the teaching equipment to ensure the smooth running of the subsequent teaching work.
The dormitories and canteens and other living areas were cleaned and disinfected as a priority to ensure the safety of the children's lives after school.
The Engineering Department carried out meticulous overhaul and maintenance of hardware equipment to provide more efficient hardware support for the resumption of classes in the future.
With great anticipation,
students gradually resume to school
It was after 7am when the children were finally welcomed to the campus after days of silence. After their temperatures were taken and checked, they returned to their familiar classes one after another and started their academic journey with a lot of energy.
At 12:30 pm, following the requirements of the epidemic prevention and control, students, teachers and resumption key personnel lined up in order to start the daily nucleic acid tests in an orderly manner to help the safe resumption of school in the future.
During the class, the children spoke up and expressed their views. The teacher reinforced and deepened the knowledge through videos, group discussions and other rich teaching formats, and everything was finally back on track.
Alice said, "I've been looking forward to this for a long time and I'm finally back in the classroom. It feels good to learn and communicate with my friends together, and the face-to-face lessons with the teacher are more realistic and efficient."
Online courses with creative ideas
Of course, online classes in other years are also well underway, with teachers conceiving new ways of teaching and learning in order to develop the critical thinking skills of the secondary school children.
In Year 7, a series of online lessons on the theme of 'Confusion in Adolescence' were conducted. Ms Ke gave the children full freedom and choice to lead the class sessions in pairs, discussing different themes of adolescent confusion with the group.
"How do I communicate? How to overcome anxiety? How to think differently? The future of you ......." The children were highly motivated and not only explored and designed different types of topics on their own, but also elaborated PPTs to express their own ideas.
When discussing her career plans, Alex said that her interests are mainly focused on design and rapper, and that in the future she would like to be an architect or work for Apple. In the future, she would like to be an architect or work for Apple. She would like to be a young person with multiple careers and combine her love of design and rapper.
Mrs Ke said, "From the role swapping, to the choice of theme, to the presentation of the speech, the children's thinking skills, leadership and logical thinking have been greatly improved."
Online community, independent new ideas
Senior School student Yang took the initiative to launch an online training session on "Economic Thinking".
He spoke to teachers and set aside three online sessions to showcase economics to students from Austen, Beckingham and Hamonde, and to provide ideas for club members preparing for the NEC final.
"I am very excited to join the Goldie Future family and have been a student leader for two years now. This year, I am even more honoured to be elected as Vice President of the Student Council and Treasurer. Through the presentation of economics, I hope to mobilise students' interest in learning and gradually help them develop the ability to think critically and critically." Yang said proudly.
The epidemic will eventually pass, and the sound of reading aloud and cheerful figures will eventually return to campus. The road to growth has its ups and downs, but the rainbow after the storm is even more dazzling. Let's work together to fight the epidemic and wait for the flowers to bloom.
